June 9: Chef John Ramagli’s newest culinary success, The Village Chophouse in Sedona

Brian Sussman talks with Sedona’s culinary rockstar, Chef John Ramagli about his journey to creating some of the best-rated restaurants and dining experiences in the Red Rocks.

Chef John’s latest endeavor is the Village Chophouse in the Village of Oak Creek, a steak and seafood restaurant offering a dazzling menu of chef-inspired creations and perfectly paired wines.


Husband and wife team, John and Nikki Ramagli are owners Village Chophouse and Rotten Johnny’s Wood Fired Pizza in the Village of Oak Creek.

They were recipients of the 2022 Shining Star award by the Sedona Village Partnership, an organization that invites nominations to identify and honor Villagers who exemplify its vision of “Connecting the Community” as well as its five core values – Connect, Educate, Respect, Collaborate and Accomplish.

The Ramaglis were cited for their generous contributions to the community and active involvement with many Village causes. In growing their enterprise since inception in 2016, they have established a reputation as high-integrity, caring employers who weathered the COVID storm with agility and grace.

The Village Chophouse just opened its doors in March 2023 to rave reviews.
